Every year, fans of Kristen Stewart raise money for her birthday, April 9th, and donate it to a good cause that means something to her.
This year, Alzheimer’s research has been chosen as the good cause because of Kristen’s role in the on screen adaption of ‘Still Alice’, a book about a woman in her early fifties who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer.
I really like this idea because this way we can do something for her birthday that’s actually meaningful. And on top of that Alzheimer’s research seems very important to me considering more and more people in our modern society are diagnosed with this decease. So, I myself have already donated and with all the fans together, we’ve already raised nearly 8500 dollars.
Lisa Genova, the writer of ‘Still Alice’, already knows about the donations, so the possibility that Kristen knows as well, is pretty big. Especially knowing that a couple of her friends are also active on social media where we’re trying to spread the word.
Let’s try and reach at least 10000 by Kristen’s birthday! Every dollar counts, so even if you can donate only a small amount, it could be that dollar that makes a change!
Until next time,
With love, Ellen
